Do not know what year your T@G is. I believe after 2018 they added a solenoid which shuts off the gas when the rear hatch is closed. If no power to that solenoid, then no gas to the stove.1 -

Don't bother with changing the wind resistance. The real difference is the axel. Only conceivable way would be to change out tire sizes. I tow T@G (non outback) with a 4cyl Rav4. My MPG may chan…1 -
Re: AC fan purpose?
Fan sucks via silver side vent bells on trailer to keep the AC cooler, pushing air out the bottom of the trailer and the two white plastic vents mounted near the sides on the AC.1
