New "tent"

Well, I bowed to the fam. After our last camping trip, Kathy and Will decided perhaps the 3 of us are too much for the available space. After much deliberation, I decided to experiment with a stand-alone addition. My short list required whatever form that took to be "instant-up". I browsed YouTube for some options that didn't break the bank. The Clam, Venture tent kept making the top of the list so today I drove a ways and picked one up.

A couple hours into it and so far, so good. We are really enjoying the mosquito-free afternoon.

Now to make a fastening system to join it to the trailer...

    I have the same. ($179.99 Amazon) Also have the sides with the windows ($29.99 for set of three), when needed. They mainly come in handy for me when I need to set up a portable toilet. Ran into that when the virus shut down some restrooms, but camping was still a go. We had three people in ours this weekend and watched a few movies. I like mine not attached, as to locate it in areas that the T@G can not go.

    @WilliamA , hubby and I secure our 6x6 ez up to the passenger side using the sunction cup holders... haven't lost the ez up yet...we also use the inflatable (with water) weights... I've seen it be 2 inches off the pavement...

    We have used the Clam and LOVE it. I also got the side panels for privacy, and it doubles as a changing room for us.

    Just purchased a Cabela version of the Clam Shell. Six Panels 13.6' across all enclosing panels included. Used 4 days on OR coast and 4 days near White pass in WA. Great easy set up. We love it. Long package but can be carried in our 4 runner or the 6 wide.
