Squealing Fantastic Fan

Has anyone had issues with the fantastic fan squealing loudly? The fan just started doing this during our last trip. It will run normally for a couple mins and then it will start a high pitched squeal. It does this on all of the speed settings. Its almost as if the blades are scraping the side walls or possibly the fan is not balanced correctly.
I am really considering the MaxxAir fan upgrade after this; however, we are dry camping in a few weeks so I'm hoping there is something I can do before our next trip. I can't stand the sound, its like nails on a chalk board!

The fantastic vent fan has a two year warranty.
Contact them with your problem and they will most likly send out a new one promptly at no cost.
At least that is what they did for me two screws and two wires.

I would suggest taking (pry) off the screen from inside an spinning fan with your fingers. See if it is touching anything. Maybe spray fan motor with silicon. Run it without the screen. Check for noise.

If it is the motor and not something else, a free warranty replacement is in order.

Agree, it could be the screen. Take it off and see if the noise goes away. Then put it back and push on corners to make sure it’s set correctly.

@JamesDow ultimately it was a problem with fan motor and the dealership had to replace it

I had the same isue. For thos who wonder the fan motor is sealed and the bearing are inclosed and can not be lubed in anyway.
The noise is mostly coming from the brush inside and to me, they went away. I think I made it run full blast for a day in each direction.
And now is't gone.
But if you have the chance to have it replace under waranty, then go for it! 😎
