This year my wife and I are planning a trip to Hocking Hills State Park, Natural Bridge State Resort Park, and Cumberland Gap National Historical Park this summer. Does anyone have any experience with these campgrounds/areas? Any suggestions that would be helpful to know in advance? Thank you!

I believe that Verna has camped at Hocking Hills and had posted some information over on the T@B forum earlier this year?

@Dan_Ann, Hocking Hills is a must see! It’s situated in a very hilly part of Southern Ohio, very much a gorgeous forest, many, many beautiful gullies, hiking that is easy, medium or challenging. The campground is also hilly, clean, electric at each site with water spigots close by in a central location for each loop.
Be sure to research Grandma Gatewood, who hiked so many of the trails in Hocking Hills, and she also thru hiked the Appalachian Trail 3 Times, beginning at age 55. There is a January hike named in her memory on her favorite trail every year.
Thank you Verna! Your feedback makes us more eager to explore the area. I am glad to hear that it is a clean. We'll make sure to being out hiking shoes.

This having to work for a living is really putting a cramp in my camping plans.
So many way cool places to see and way too little vacation time.

You can drive along 10,000 miles, and still stay where you are.
I agree!

We plan to start with the closest and see how many state parks we can stay in and explore this summer. We live near Itasca Park with which we are extremely familiar. First on our list is to get our new T@G XL Boondock all prepared on a nice day (hopefully St Patrick's Day) and work the kinks out with each subsequent camping trip.
Experiences are more valuable than possessions.
Hey I live about a half hour from hocking hills. You will enjoy it. Beautiful area for sure. Very nice campgrounds..
Also been through minna..soda several times on fishing trips. Hope to drag our TAG up that way at some point.
Lost..from the look of your map and all the State Parks in Minnesota you should be able to visit at least 40 by winter.😳

I heard that Hocking Hills has beautiful scenery, waterfalls, and nice hiking trails. We have our reservation in for a campsite and are really looking forward to the trip.
