?? You pull in to camp, set everything up Open the clamshell put your wing walls up, put your Sun and rain cover over your clamshell. get everything ready to start to enjoy your camping. fun then it is time to hit the hay, What do you do with your Kitchen area? Of course I know you do not leave food out for all the nightly critters, but do you take down the wing walls and your awning and shutdown the clam, on a nightly basis. Newbie would like to know... how trusting are you?

I close mine at night. My awning rolls up in a minute. I know a lot about raccoons...

Closed and locked at night or while away from the trailer. We only use our wing walls when it is very windy.

I have wing walls. I leave mine open. I don't keep any food in the galley area other than what is in the cooler. I keep the cooler pushed in and locked. Pantry items are kept in my TV.

We always close ours at night, and when we're going to be away from the campsite for an extended time. We also only use our wing walls when it's windy.

Only use wing walls when it is too windy. Don't use a shade for the clamshell. So, of course we close it at night. Don't want critters climbing around in our kitchen...and they will.

We shut er down every night. We have the 6 panel clam (Cabela). During the day, we bungee the awning door flap/small awning to the open kitchen hatch door. We do have the beloved wing walls up during the day. These are all secured at night and when away for any length of time. I get up in the morning, open things up and make coffee, feed and walk the pup. By the way, about the only thing we cook on the trailer stove is coffee. Going to Mt Rainier, bear country, in a couple weeks. Let you know how that turns out.

100% close it at night. I'm not so much worried about the people-thieves as I am the critter-thieves. When tent camping once in semi-remote central Idaho, I put everything else in the car for the night, but accidentally left out a 3.5 gallon stock pot filled with leftover jambalaya and no joke a black bear straight up stole the entire pot.
RIP stock pot.

I feel bad for the bear, though. It was a particularly spicy batch.
