Hey folks, my 2022 T@G XL Boondock came with a cooler bag that wasn’t going to cut it for trips, so after much measuring I figured I could fit a Alpicool C40 with a slide. Looking at what everyone else was doing they seemed to go with the 30L, but I wanted as much storage as I could. Ordered locking slides from Amazon and built rails for the chest to sit on. Had to remove the back handle but fits perfect, clamshell closes with no problems.

Woderful looking and functional mod!
Did a vent exist already in your floor or back?
Why Nucamp would ever use a cooler bag or a yeti style cooler is beyond me.
Hope your cooler provides many years of service.
No vent currently, I’m going to keep an eye on how hot it gets and put one in if needed.
We also opted for the Alpicool C40 for our 23 Tag XL. Been lifting it in and out onto a small table when using it. Would love to build some slides like these.
Can you provide some more info on the slides you bought and the rails you built for it? Would love to replicate on our trailer.
Thanks much

I used slides from amazon, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08R2K4H31?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details, I used the 22 inch with lock. For the rails I used 1" x 2" poplar boards I bought at Lowe's glued and screwed into an L with end pieces. I originally made a tray for it to sit in, but with the door bracket it wound up being much easier to fit with just the rails.
A Yeti-type cooler makes way more sense than that Otterbox bag I ended up with - but I'll say this, that thing holds ice a lot better than I thought it would. I don't use it camping (I sprung for a Dometic fridge) but I've used it for other things and was rather impressed.
Still a silly substitute.

What slide did you install to use with your Dometic fridge??
