Kitchen GFCI Outlet won't work or reset

Hello,

 I have a 2016 Lil Guy Tag. The kitchen outlet stopped working. No lights on the gfci were illuminated. Not a fuse issue. Other outlets and lights worked. We changed the outlet with a new gfci. It worked once then red light illuminated. We could not reset gfci and it would not work but all other outlets and lights worked. Has anyone else had this issue?
