Any recent experience with Canada's Trans Labrador Highway/route 500 (aka Expedition 51degrees)?

This seems like a great loop could be made...  suggestions for which direction to travel and time of year and must have items?

I did this route in July/August 2023 with my tab320s Boonie. Travelled from Ottawa thru New Brunswick and Nova Scotia and ferry from Sydney Harbour to Argentia. Crossed Nfld and Labrador to Churchill Falls. Then the famous 500 into Quebec to Baie Comeau and home to Ottawa along the north shore. The 500 is fairly rough with 2 stretches of gravel road. One of 50km and another of 100km. Churchill to Baie Comeau is about 550km. One gas station at half way point, gas was about 2.70 a liter for regular. Be sure to carry extra fuel in case the station is closed. My tv is a Tacoma. Nice trip, enjoy.
