Carbon monoxide USB alarm

I just saw this today. It has not hit the shelves yet, but looks promising. If your CO alarm has a fixed battery instead of a 9v, this might be a good alternative when you need to replace it.

That is an alternative, but it still needs to be powered. I already replaced all of my USB outlets due to failure.
I think I would have a lot more confidence with a 10 year battery powered unit. Home Depot sells for $25- $50.
I spent the extra to get one which was RV rated and 10 year battery.
First Alert $36.99 (First Alert BRK CO250RVA RV Approved CO Alarm).
While my original (2018 T@G) still appeared to work, the manufacturing date was 2016.
That put it past a safe use date. A modest expense to make.
