After prevailing on the good will of strangers in rural Nevada for gasoline, we decided opting for an auxiliary gas tank (hello Rotopax) was a good idea.
Thank goodness for the Rotopax blemished pricing... the tank cost less than the locking mount. That said, this looks and feels like durable and high quality materials.
Here's our install... using HDPE spacers (made from old high schools science lab bench-tops) to allow the lid of the diamond plate boxes to clear the new tank/can. Hopefully the stainless steel hardware will play nicely with the aluminum box material in the years/weather ahead.
