Does T@G SE XL accommodate the same mods and upgrades as other models?

I am considering buying the minimalist T@G SE XL. But I would like to make modifications and upgrades in the future as I get a better sense of what I need. I know that the SE lacks many of the features of the other models and that some items, such as the AC unit, are not in the same location. But I am curious to know whether it is structurally different. Or does Nucamp start with the same frame and shell and just add more things to the Boondock than they do to the SE?

I was wondering this too. Specifically, is the trailer frame sturdy enough to accept mounting the spare or adding a storage box at the front? Are the walls sturdy enough to bolt small items to them (ex, a 5lb propane tank)?

I've yet to call the factory, and am wondering if there is any experience out there?

I have no direct experience..
Below is a youtube video which shows some info. 

As I see it, looks like same frame and shell. 
I would have factory input regarding attaching 5 lb propane. 
I would be very reluctant to attach to shell without hitting a frame beam.

I replaced the plastic tank storage with a 54 in aluminum truck box.  it weighed 31 lbs but only added about 24 lbs of tongue weight to my 2016 T@G which I considered a good thing.  I ended up swapping my 20 lb cylinder for a 5 lb cylinder to provide more storage room.   If anything, adding the box improved both storage and towing.
