Simple Way To Power T@G With A Power Station

▄ In April 2022 @laurabe asked about powering a 2020 T@G Edge with a Jackery 880 power station. 
At the time, I responded with my thoughts and suggestions.
▄ On January 20, 2026 @josephkruger asked about powering his T@G with a Bluetti AC240 Power Station.
I gave my response the same day and suggested the use of a use a male-to-male 12-volt cigarette lighter/accessory adapter.

I responded back the same day with the following:  
  2.  Yes you can plug into shore power without a battery. Your 12 volt system is powered via your converter (assuming you have one).  Make sure any disconnected battery leads are not touching together.
  3.  Yes you can plug your 12-volt Jackery 300 into the positive/negative of your trailer 12-volt input. 
   
▓ What was never confirmed to me was the concept of using a 12-volt male to male cord plugged into a power station, with the other end plugged into one to the 12-volt outlets of the T@G.
 
Since I had the need for a male-to-male cord for other projects, I bought one (14AWG) this month.
Today I tested the concept of powering from a power station 12-volt output to the T@G using the cord I purchased.

RESULT:
All 12-volt systems worked flawlessly.
(lights, fan, water pump, refrigerator, USB, stereo, etc.)
I tested my cord by plugging into all of the three different 12-volt T@G accessory ports.
(2 inside, 1 in galley)
Battery cutoff on "OFF"
No shore power

What was interesting is that the converter fan kicked on for a second upon each test.
I would think that the converter would not draw much power in this state and would only present a small parasitic drain on the power station.

Bottom line, it works with ease.
Not knowing the T@G wire size (AWG) throughout, I would assume on the small side (16AWG), which can safely handle 10-13 amps (120-156 watts) of continuous power.
120 watts should be enough to run all of the normal 12-volt T@G needs.
Brief burst intermittent loads can run as high as 180-216 watts on 16AWG.

LESSON LEARNED: 
So now I know, I could if needed power my T@G with one of my power stations or even my tow vehicle via the 12-volt accessory port, it is possible.
Keep the male-to-male cord in the T@G in the event of need.
(Note: I forecast no need, but it is an option to have.)
