Hi everyone,
New to this forum and to our new T@b Outback Silver/silver. What's the deal with vent covers? Is this a good idea to have one? Where do I get one? What about a surg protector recommendation? Heading on a trip in a few weeks, Seattle to UP in Michigan and back via Detroit, Sugar Creek OH, Chicago, Kansas and Denver. TV is Subaru Outback 3.6. Starting to plan our journey. Went out for maiden voyage last weekend. First night full hookups, second night in Olympic Natl Park totally off grid. Learned LOTS. Any advice appreciated. Bill and Rox

vent covers for me are a necessity that allows you freedom... I like the Aeroflo vent cover look for its aerodynamic and custom appearance. As noted, when you have a downpour you'll need a cover or need to close up the stock cover. The vent cover eliminates any issue so far as rain, helps out when it gets hot/steamy inside the trailer and it's raining outdoors. You can also leave your vent cracked full time with a vent cover and never have to worry about the wind buffeting it and sending it skyward to allow rain in when you are away. Been there and done that!
Surge protectors are nice, but I'd read some reviews and spend a few bucks and get a good one. I have a surge protector that I wired into the circuit inside my trailer so all I do now is plug the trailer in and the surge protector analyzes everything for me.

Mike, any info on the brand and pics of how you installed the surge protector?

Yep, very curious what and how!
My Outbacks tall enough and garage short enough that I’m a little worried about a permanent install. Anybody try a temporary install?
