With the UK license plate and the built-in rack on the rear, it is definitely a European T@B. They employ the electrical system used in Europe, and therefore it cannot be used in the US, as the US made T@B’s cannot be used in Europe for the same reason.

    Thanks for photo.

Do you know who manufactures the T@B in Europe? I thought maybe someone sailed it across the Atlantic =)

Tabbert manufactures the European T@B. They have different models, including ones larger than nüCamps new T@B 400, that is 15’ long with a 3’ tongue, making it an 18’ model.

Dutchman/Thor bought the rights to manufacture the T@B in the US and began manufacturing in 2004. We refer to them as the DM T@B’s (Dutchman). They were manufactured until 2010. Unfortunately, there were problems with water intrusion through leaks in the wheel well area, and at the edges of the walls, resulting in “soft” floors that were damaged. While some owners replaced the floors themselves, nüCamp will replace the floors with the newer composite, no wood floor. The price depends on what needs to be done.

Due to the downturn in RV’s with the economy plus the quality issues, the DM T@Bs were not made after the 2010 model.

Pleasant Valley Teardrop (now known as nüCamp), bought the rights to the T@B and began manufacturing them in 2012. The largest change was in adding a wet bathroom that became very popular, although there is still a model that can be ordered without the bathroom.

Beginning with the 2016 model, there is no wood in the floors, which is where most problems with water intrusion show up.

There have been updates in each year, with many of the updates showing up in the 2015 model and forward.

The current model of T@B 320 S (refers to the approximate length in centimeters or millimeters —I forget which) is still the most popular model with the wet shower. The T@B 400 was introduced with the 2018 model last year and is becoming popular with more space and a full time bed, larger bathroom, and a dinette that becomes a sofa or a twin bed (a bit smaller than a twin).

nüCamp has become a very innovative company, not afraid to introduce new floor plans and new campers.

I met a guy from Switzerland that brought his camper van to the USA and he had to purchase a special converter to power his European power requirement. So it can be done... just takes Money. He was traveling all around out USA.

Someone here in the States tried to buy a T@B 400 or 500 from Europe. The dealer did not want to sell to him. There would be no warranty as soon as the T@B left Europe, although everything would be double checked before it left. Between the shipping, tariffs and fees, the cost was far too prohibitive to go through with the deal. Plus, having to rewire it to our standards....not worth it!
