T@B 400 leak from shower

I’m new to the forum. I’ve had my T@B 400 under 2 weeks. There was a drip in the shower upon pick up that my dealer assured me was just water dripping from shower test. This turns out to be incorrect. The shower leaked behind the wall soaking into the closet, the floor, and the bed frame. I bought this camper specifically for the materials they use and the craftsmanship of the wood work. I’m a contractor (management not hands on) and these are the details I geek out on. I’m concerned that if my dealer does wood repairs they will not be thorough, will not be the same materials and it’ll never meet my high standard again. I dried it out right away but I know that the wood will delaminate prematurely from this and the floor is compromised. Has anyone else had a wood damage warranty claim? Who did your repairs, dealer or NuCamp? How was it handled? What was the end result?

I had a water catastrophe with my brand new SS that effected the entire floor. I dried it out right away too. My dealer was way less than helpful even though I was on warranty and It was their fault. I had to get LG involved to move things along. This process took three months. The floor hasn’t delaminated as a result and it has been 3 years. Lucky me! By the way...the repairs were lame and not what would be considered by the average Joe as making the LG whole again. I would explain it all here but it’s a too convoluted story and very sad.

Just FYI, Nucamp reached out today and are prepared to swap out my unit rather than make me deal w water damage repairs and risk non factory materials. Not sure how it’ll exactly be handled from here for delivery and adding back in my options, but I’m thrilled to avoid monitoring a dealer trying to meet Nucamp’s carpentry skills. Great job Nucamp.

Sorry to Tom, sad story there. Gives me heart ache for you.

Yay! NuCamp stepping up again in the customer service arena. Unfortunately the RV dealers across the nation as I read on these forums seem to be unable to provide the same level of customer service. I haven’t heard a good RV dealer customer service feel good story in years. It would take a really good one to take the bad taste out of my mouth and change my outlook on my California dealer. Good for you Motherrabbit!
