Planning on purchasing a 5x7 screen room from Pahaque. Does the tent work with the Boondock XL? When I checked Teardropshop.com, the website indicates it does, however I contacted Pahaque directly and they said no? Any reviews of the tent.
Thank you,
Bob

Year later lol, but I thought they were gonna make the 5x7 screen room for the XL, seems to me it was gonna be this spring? Would for sure be nice...
@Frogger if you're looking for anything for your tag... I'd be looking at all pro adventures...we use a 10 x 10 ez up that has some side screen panels for it...

According to PahaQue website it works on the T@G Boondock models. XL vs non-XL should not matter as that's just the trailer width.

All Pro Adventures did just release their new side tent, it's MSRP is $1,195.00 for the non Boondock and $1,249 for the Boondock.

$1,200 for matching side tent is just ridiculous...
***Just contacted Pahaque about the 5x7 Side tent/screen room, the bottom of the door needs to be no higher than 23"; measured my Boondock Edge XL, measured 26.75 at the bottom of the door, so I passed on getting one...
I have this tent. With the Dexter lift kit on My base T@G XL, it is 23” to bottom of My door from ground. If I am not happy with this fit, they will correct it to make it work.....What I like about this tent, is that, it’s only takes 5 minutes to put up. About 10 minutes to take down. With the help of DW—it was purchased for her. I read on their site they were making them for the Boondock edition? What happened with that?
Edit: the reason why they said they would “make it fit” is because sometimes the ground can be way off level and was thinking of adding another couple of inches for that.
This Friday I am heading to a Jeep club member who is selling their used Pahaque 5x7. I too have the Tag Boondock XL and will be test fitting the Pahaque 5x7 before purchasing. Keep you all posted with pictures.
@ssimonson---thanks, post the bottom of the door measurement if you can...@Bob297--did my measurement in the driveway, talked to a guy named jason at the place, he told me about the 23"; the site did say it would fit the 2020 Boondock & the Outback, he said they hadn't seen one of those yet?
I have the 15" off road tires on mine, would love to have one ourselves...gonna measure again on the other door...
Picked this up from another member of this group (thanks, again!), just had to try it in the driveway, surprised it went up so easy despite the wind and drizzle, only had Rusty (one of our cats) to help.
@tagurit ...looks good, nice set up...ssimonson is gonna pick check one out, he has the same model I have, hoping it'll work, I'll order one...
I love the side tent. The only problem with the side tent is camp site geometry that doesn’t allow for deployment. Which is a problem all over the US. Especially in States that have attempted to increase sites At their campgrounds to allow access by reducing square footage.

As adventuresome as I am in my advanced years, I need to know I have a good place to set up at the end of the day. We don't go on any trip without a reservation; both recreation.gov and Reserve America usually have good site descriptions and even pictures. Have really only been surprised once, and that was some bad erosion after some prolonged stormy weather. Hope we can keep the string going!
I am just fine with my 6x6 Clam shelter. Can go up or down in < 2 minutes. (really) - Starts as a screened in shelter or add walls with screened windows for more shelter and privacy. Cost me $179 plus $29 for solid sides. Works great for privacy, to keep warm sitting at night, keep dry if rain and keep bugs out while sitting outside,(if needed). Use it maybe 15% of the time when I have been out. No quality problems to date. Holds up to wind fine.

I did get to test fit a 3 year old Pahaque 5x7 with my 2019 Tag Boondock Edge XL, everything worked as I would have hoped for. The only issue would be how far the tent needs to be placed away from the Tag due to the fender/wheel and that make it harder to sit in the doorway All in all, I think I should be very happy with the new purchase. Now I have it home I can produce more pictures if requested. Here are some pictures of the fit-up before purchasing.
I love these little TaG tents. @ssimonson Can’t you just shift the tent forward to clear the fender and bring the tent in closer?

Yes, I did tray putting the tent against the trailer and inside the fender. the opening was not centered and there was a lot of slack, it worked. Either way you like it, it works.
Tent against the Tag and inside the fender
Tent centered on the doorway and outside the fender. The tent sticks out about a foot.
@ssimonson-- dang nice deal for sure! Thanks for the sit rep...I'm assuming this is the Pahaque 5x7; looks like a decent fit, did you just use the gutter or get a mount kit? When I talked to a guy at Paha, he said the door should be no higher than 23", but thinking yours is at least 26", same as mine; if you could measure from the driveway to the bottom of the door I'd greatly appreciate it, wife really wants one so I'd have to buy new, but won't buy a mount kit if I don't have to, wanna make sure it'll fit decent...thanks much...
I just saw that Walmart now sells these!

Good Gumby...I knew Amazon sold some of their stuff, guess they're expanding their market...
Yes my height is 26" high and my door has a black trip/lip the tent attaches too.
Thanks much ss, excellent review & help...
Thanks again for the pics/help, just ordered one from Wally Wild, last 1 they had, free shipping as well...
Got the side tent & it worked well, wife loves it; no more wandering to the crapper w/ flashlight in hand, she can just open the door & step into the side tent...also got the 5x7 blanket for I think $20 via Walmart, nice addition...
Just an FYI: PahaQue has the 10 x 10 screen room back in stock!
