Hood latches

Hearing your stories of the rear hatch not being trusted, plus my concerns with new front box, I am researching possible decent looking bolt on cures. The lock on my new box has a rubber cover for the key that will not hold down. The latch and lock latch, neither one please my critical eye.

    For my front storage box, I used a pair of Jeep (2017) hood latches. They work great and I had a set. Since I replaced the sloppy 2-piece rear hatch locks, my kitchen hatch has not moved not given me grief. One of my most prized mods....

    Thank you sir. I used the Jeep latch on a stubborn compartment on my Avion.
    Doubt that I can make a decent preproduction of your very cool kitchen system. Always said I can make almost anything work. But seldom satisfied with the appearance.
