Looks like a great spot. What’s in the blue bag on the side of the box?

It's a 1 gallon rotopax container for generator fuel.

Unfortunately I live in San Diego, so my yard camping is not anywhere as nice.
I did go back again 10 days ago to Sentor Wash, which is north of Yuma. Went with two other friends in separate vehicles. I did not take the T@G and instead decided to tent camp. Three vehicles plus a trailer is a lot to ask for of a camping site. Had a good time, fishing was ok. Practiced good social distancing. I even rescued a floating duck, but nobody came to claim it after three days on display. Thought one of my kids would want it, but they said it was too large. Now I am stuck with a five foot wide duck.
I think Senator Wash has officially opened since I got back. It is on BLM land, but they charge $15 per night if you are on the water.

What else do you store in the larger box on the front? Extra propane or battery?

    My tongue box/tool box has:

    One grp 27 battery

Small 2 gallon fuel tank for the diesel heater

    2 folding chairs

    Fishing pole ( very important!)

Bag of charcoal and lighter fluid

    2 ea 110v, 20 amp (12 ga) extension cords:

25 foot and 50 foot...I don't use the stock 30 amp cord and don't haul it around (useless)

2 ea 1lb propane cylinders for my lantern

Various other small bits and bobs

    That's it...

I only have 1 battery and have never needed more. I have the one 5lb propane cylinder and have never needed more than that.

@WilliamA please share any suggestions/patterns for the rotopax cover you feature in this thread. I love the idea of some sun/visual protection for my soon to arrive rotopax. However, the details/geometry of how one sews/stitches for the mounting mechanism is definitely a challenge.

Two and a half months later, I persevered with the sewing machine and came up with this:

And this is how it looks on our 2024 Boondock 5-wide:

  • Did you make that little table off the fender or is that a purchase? I really like that and would like to replicate or buy one.
