Camping in The Ozarks

Planning a trip that will include 3 or 4 days in the Ozarks. I really know nothing about the area. Looking for suggestions for peaceful, relaxing camping with beautiful scenery. Lake or river views would be great. Thanks in advance!

Look at buffalo national river.in Arkansas..144 miles of floatable river, camp on sand bar...takes about 10 days if you do the whole trip. Ends in white river...big trout fishing area. Buffalo has camp grounds all up and down.
Or current river/jacks fork..Ozark scenic river way in southern Missouri. Great river camping and canoeing but a little more crowded. Both are within a 1/2 day drive of Branson and Silver Dollar City...if you like tourist stuff. Bass pro mother store is at Springfield, Missouri. Cheap shows, food, etc. And no crowds except spring break. For floats you can rent a canoe and they’ll shuttle you up/down river
Let me know if I can help with info...I live in the area and retired from the Buffalo
