I recently purchased a 2020 Tag 5 wide but haven't been able to pick it up yet. After reading some of the reviews I think I'll purchase the Pahaque 5x7 side tent for the extra space for changing clothes and storage. I don't have the gutter rail to attach the side tent around the door. How much gutter rail do I need and do I have to go completely around the door or just the top and bottom of the door. Thanks for the help.

I thought after a certain year the mounting rail was standard on the T@G, anyway it came on our 2017 5 wide, it goes all the way around the door, two feet across the bottom and eight feet up and down the sides and around the top, $5.99 a foot at the Teardrop Shop.
Thank you! Nucamp customer service say's the mounting rail is not on the 2020 Tag.
It amazes me what they do... Fridge was first to get rid of, TV, mounting rails... What's next?
@engineer101-- We have the 2020 Tag Boondock Edge & it came w/ this black guttering; bought a 5x7 Pahaque not sure it would fit because of the height/wide fenders, but it works so far..
I saw the same black rubber around my doors. I assumed it was a rain gutter and not an attachment point.
I may be incorrect. (not the first time).
Same here James, but another member bought a used Tag & it worked on his too, crazy as hay; we just put it up in the driveway, so no real experience, thought we'd need the fit kit but it seems to work as far as set up***Get the install kit if in doubt...
I thought it was a gutter too. Maybe I change my mind about a Pahaque now.

@HikenMike it is a gutter for sure; bought mine on a whim after seeing it work on another members' Edge; I'll get the $40 install kit if it proves to not be a tight enough fit over time since i already have the tent
That is where the collar attatches, may work as a rain gutter too but why does it run across the bottom of the door if that's all it is?
Just looked at mine again. I would call it more of a gasket than anything. The shape is such (channel or furrow) that it redirects water away from the door opening. That water can be traveling at multi angles, especially while driving. Again, as I see it the gutter functions also to redirect water coming up while driving, as to minimize the probability of water entering the door.
Out of curiosity, I went online to determine what PahaQue calls the attachment point. They call it a gutter rail. Do not know what nuCamp calls it.
Same here. Previous owner demonstrated it setting up in his garage. Hell of a deal me thinks. Tis a gutter and an attachment rail.

Here are some pics of the Pahaque collar attached to the rain gutter (or mounting rail). pretty windy here today or they could have been better but it does show it grips the camper pretty well.
@tagurit thanks for the pics, trying to remember who it was that had 'em...
They are confusing it with the keder rail attachment for a visor which has never been on the T@G. You can install a keder rail yourself. The Pahaque uses the black gasket as shown above. I noticed Pahaque has a 15% off sale with free shipping and no tax going now.

Pahaque took advantage of an existing feature. Good for them.

mgreen2 is correct. customer service said the tag doesn't have a gutter rail it's called a keder rail. Thank you very much. Appears I was confused.
I just ordered the 5x7 from the Teardrop Shop
I got mine from Walmart of all places, wish I'd checked the Pahaque site for the discount & shipping; dang easy to put up & wife's happy, it'll go on here side & I get the Yakima awning on my side; ordered a 5x7 Tyvek ground cloth on Amazon, had to wash it a couple of times, but good to go...
Due to the stay at home order I haven't even picked up my Tag from the dealer yet. The dealer called today and I'm scheduled to pick it up on the 15th of May. About time!
Used ours on recent maiden voyage. Worked just fine. Very user friendly. Now if just had a flush potty I would be even happier. There was this little awning on the trailer entry side that we thought would be a nice deflector of rain to the trailer entry door. We are kind of glad we did not get around to removing the roof rack. Nice anchor for awnings and etc.

We just bought the 10X10 Pahaque side tent. Our sleeve that attaches to the door has one drawstring on the left side, and the instructions refer to drawstrings on both sides. Do the newer tents only have one drawstring?

@PatsyC we have the 5x7, & ours only has the 1 drawstring, fit is good...think the newer ones only have the 1...
Thanks, Frogger. We will work on the fit. Probably something we are doing wrong. We do love the tent!

@PatsyC do a search, there's some pics on the site that show how the sleeve fits on the rubber gutter around the door; if I run across them I'll put up the link...
***Color me stupid lol, the pics are on this post near the top-- we don't leave a lot of slack, one holds the sleeve around the top, the other pulls & aligns down the sides to the bottom, then pull the tent forward & zip; we use a ground cloth as well...
Thanks again, Frogger
