Slide out shelf under AC

Still have to stain it but here is my slide out shelf for under the AC unit

2x1 for side supports that are screwed from below into the AC cabinet, 2x1/2” for the left, right, and front sides of the shelves, and 1/2” plywood for the top of the shelf. Used 2 1/2” wood screws to attach the side supports to the cabinetry and 1/2” wood screws to mount the slides

    Cool. I was planning on doing this also with locking sliders, but for the price difference I might go with those slides you posted. Much less $$. Thanks for sharing.

    @MitchellDorf The slides I posted are somewhat locking. You have to give the shelf a firm tug to release the slides, and so far the shelf has never slid out when traveling. Enjoy the mod!

    This is so cool. We have the same year/model T@G as you. I am a beginner when it comes to woodworking. Do you have the measurements for the plywood shelf? I ordered the sliders from the link you posted. Thank you for sharing.

    @mtweizer I attached a pdf with the original dimensions I drew up. I did tweak them a tiny bit as I was dry fitting the shelf, so I would double check all the measurements as you go. I am a beginner at woodworking too. My advice is just take your time, double check measurements often, check the fit of the pieces in the camper as you go, and make sure everything makes sense before moving to the next step.

    7 months later I finally stained this thing. Used minwax Jacobean. Its a little more warm in color than the rest of the cabinetry, but close enough for me.

    Awesome mod. I'm looking for something like that but higher in the cabinet area where we could put our Handy Heater in the winter, and I can put my laptop to charge. What do you use this shelf for?

    @DebS I use it for our buddy heater or electric space heater, as a table for food or coffee when we are stuck inside, and for a laptop.

    Made this shelf from someone else idea, sized to fit my space heater, hangs nicely on handles, well off bed. I use it on the other side of the trailer above the outlet
