Ceiling vent lock knob fail

Related to knob fail -
My 2018 Fan-Tastic Vent Fan know was stripped out when I bought my trailer (Used). The fan has a two-year warranty. I contacted Fan-Tastic Vent Fan manufacture (Dometic) and they promptly sent me out a new knob at no cost.
I also later contacted them because I thought my fan was too noisy when on low. They once again promptly sent me out a whole new fan assembly at no cost.
I like a vendor who will stand behind their products.
Incidentally, I found that a long 7mm socket will also work to raise and lower the fan vent cover.

I haven't involved them. Mostly, I'm just disappointed that things can be breaking on a unit that's only a little over a year old. I'll contact the fan manufacturer direct.

@JamesDow I"ve got one of them nifty socket things! Great idea! I also have the Universal Handle (otherwise known as vise grips).

Just be carefull with vise grip or any other simili handle that are too resiliant. As of with oem component, the fuse is clearly the plastic knob. With sometging like vise grip, the fuse will clearely move toward othe component.

Just a tought. 😊
