Etiquette for Gray water drainage

So, is it frowned upon to just hook a hose up to the sink drain and run it of into the grass or bushes near the back of the trailer? Or do you run the hose into some kind of container and pour it all out later at a gray or blackwater disposal? (or pit toilet).

not sure of the etiquette in regards to that.

    It depends on where you camp.  Many parks require collection and emptying at a dump or gray water station.

    Best rule of thumb is to check with whomever's running the campground, assuming someone is. When in doubt, it's better to err on the side of collecting your grey water for disposal, rather than to just dump it. Different campsites in different jurisdictions have different rules.

    I carry one of these and use it fairly regularly.  They make them larger and Camco makes them much more expensive but 10 gal has proved to be sufficient  for us.       https://www.walmart.com/ip/Barker-10-Gallon-Tote-Along-Drain-Water-Tank/42496708?from=/search
