2021 cabinet knob

When I first went to see my 2021 XL before I bought it, the center cabinet door above the AC that opens towards the ceiling was closed and the flush mount knob was pressed in (flush). I pushed the knob to pop it out and I opened the door. When I tried to close it I couldn’t get the latche to catch and the knob to go back in. So now it’s not secured closed and the knob is sticking out. I don’t really care if the knob is in or out but I’d like the door to be secure when towing it. Is there a specific way to do it that I’m not aware of?

I bought a new one that will hopefully work when it arrives. I think the previous owner had a space heater in that cabinet and melted it. It just doesn’t look right on the back so I’m guessing that’s why it isn’t working.

Previous owner having a space heater in that cabinet - probably seals the fate of the orig Crane heater that you have found...not to work.

I found a used Crane heater on eBay to replace the dead one. I’m not smart enough to figure out how to fix it.
