Hello to all.

We are planing a florida trip from mid august and will be in the Orlando are for 10 nights. We will be doing Walt disney, Universal Studio and sea World. We just confirm reservation for Fort wilderness to be in the park mood. But we are planing to head out to Cape Canaveral and spend a day at the Keneddy space center after that,

We are looking for a camping spot with our T@G and was wondering if you guys kneew of a place in the Cocoa Beach area, or what would be nice around. Not looking for a 5 star RV park, a state park style of place would do.

Any ideas and do and don't?? Mosquito place to avoid?

Thank you!

There is a nice county campground on Rt. 1 just south of Titusville. While you are there you might want to visit Merritt Island wildlife refuge. It's one of the best in the country. There are no places to avoid mosquitos. The lagoon there is called mosquito lagoon for good reason. If there is a breeze you should be ok during the day.

I know that your wanting near the beach but Ocala National Forest has some great camping areas. Lots of springs and shade. Salt Springs is a favorite of ours.

Yea I get that, still none up here to. Probably around 36f last night. ;)

Thank guys. But yeah, we reall want the beach and quick acces to the kennedy space center. Will only be a two night stay before heading north again.

I think I had seen the ine in titusville, but I got a little nervous when I saw the name of the lagoon in the map. I guess I remembered a trip at assetague island in july a few years back. :)
