Does your stove automatically light?
I’ve got a 2018 Boondock and to light the stove I need to use a match or lighter. Noticed this week that there was a spark terminal on the back edge of the burners and it looks like wiring underneath the stove (looking up from inside the cabinet. The instructions for the stove\sink combo were a bit sketchy but included information on an igniter.
Does yours auto ignite when you turn the knob?

No, your stove does not have an auto igniter....mine diesn’t either.
I have a friend who installed a similar igniter stove and the igniter wore out within two months. Maybe we are better off not having the self igniter?

@Fourman110 I believe those are thermocouples that kill the gas if there is no flame, not piezoelectric lighters.
All the calculations show it can’t work. There’s only one thing to do: make it work.

Reason why you have to hold the knob press down until the burner is,hot enough to remain on. Also thought that I would have neen able to mod this for an igniter. But still think I could install one form a barbecue.

I have thought about using one that is battery operated like my home grill.

More stuff to fail. Igniters are notoriously fail-prone...I haven't had one on my personal grill at home work longer than 2 months. I'd rather use a fire flicker to get it going.

My bb at home as been working with the same internal lighter for 20 years. Had to change the burner a couple time.
Yep, I have a tendancy to keep my stuff. Lol.
