Sites? Planning Boston to D.C. in LG 5 wide 1st wk of November

Hi forum,
Planning to take the first week of November and drive our T@B 5 wide to DC and back to Boston. Any good site suggestions for the DC area or surrounding?

    I have heard people talk about Greenbelt National Park, which is about 10-12 miles from DC. This looks like a nice camping area and the nightly camping fee is $20. That beats Cherry Hill which is about $70-75 a night.

    If I was planning a trip to DC this would be my spot as it appears you are about 2 miles from a parking deck and the metro line that will take you into town according to their FAQ.

    Most private Campgrounds close at the end of November in the D.C. area.

    Cherry hill does have one advantage. Bus line right at the front desk to the nearest subway station. I was in the tent area before,witch was realy nice an cozy. Wonder if you could get in there with a small trailer.

    I'd be careful about having water in the tanks in the northeast that time of year. Things could freeze up.

    I stayed at a KOA in MD in my Silver Shadow during Veterans Day week in 2015 and it was below freezing every night. I had access to water, but water in bottles froze in the galley at night. Be very careful and it is an excellent idea to winterize before going.

    Winterize with vodka. No, really, seriously. Obviously not grey goose. Makes it easy to go back and forth and rinsing the tank is much more fun.
