Sleeping 3 people in a T@G XL comfortably!

This is a mock up for space planning.  The RV park I made reservations for this summer insists we all sleep in the trailer!  No one in our annex tent, 8’x8’.  No one in the back of the car either!  Ok then, here are my thoughts.  I have ordered a 69”l x 25”w x17”h camp cot from Camping World.  This is considered the petite size.  Our kid is just over 5’ tall so this will be their sleeping bunk.  We will need to remove the blinds to accommodate the size of the cot.  Interior is 70” long, under the window.  Blinds are removable, as my husband reminded me, since he had been handling their repairs.  The height brings the cot to about the middle of the window over 4” of memory foam and padding.  The sleeping pad for cot will be a petite size 66” x “20” from Big Agnes, still in the works.  Basically this will just be our bunk space for a few nights.  Ear plugs and eye masks are encouraged.  Will need to make black out curtains and a removable or Velcroed bug screen.  (As seen in overland trailer videos!)  Will update with the end results. The tv mount will be removed.  Also, with shore power, no need bring the power generators so the tv cabinet is now available for daughter to store items.  That’s the space, this is my vision.  Wish me luck!!  The interior space is very generous for our T@GXL, just love it!  The galley is finished with the stainless steel toe kick!  The table was reconfigured to access the top drawer of our pantry.  Wood office cabinets have silverware, cooking utensils, tea, honey, cocoa and spices.  Got those on Wayfair.  The trash can rules! Holds regular grocery store bags and hangs on the cabinet door, got it on Amazon. The boho bags are for fruit, vegetables and cleaning items. Got those on Amazon as well.  Have a great adventure!

    I don't know how tall you are, but that sure looks like tight quarters! I am assuming there's no other RV park in the area? Sometimes "don't ask, don't tell" is a good policy.

    Tee, hee!  Well, it is!  Warm summers though, we can do it.  I was just going to post, the cot I ordered did not fit! The kid-o-bunk bed could fit if needed. Our kid is close to the sleeping length 62”.  Still working on things.  Found this on local Craigslist.  Do it your self inspiration for a custom cot.

     Here is the best solution I have found, to adding a third person in the t@gxl.  It’s a just released, crowd funded project, that gives the ability to adjust height and length to an aluminum frame with a roll up wood slat, fabric covered base.  It’s a local company for me, just my luck!  It looks like the smallest that is offered, is the hideaway, with 24” width.  Flat surface up to 15” high.  Expandable with ability to create a double sleeping surface. (Bundles are available).  Good for gear storage, dog, getting everyone outside!!  Going to try it out.  There is another brand called Hele Box, for modular sleeping platforms.  They offer the ability to shorten their standard length to short length (68”, maybe)and the legs adjust to all heights for sleeping comfortably in your car!  Well hoping this gets us sleeping well.  Working on the window treatments today!  Happy Adventure!

    Here is the sleeping arrangement.  Trying to obey RV park rules, that’s it. My idea for the TV cabinet mess is mounting a magnet board!  Platform at full height is too tall for the space.  Went down two clicks.  Doing good and having height and length options are very necessary for this gal!  Curtains are being sewn and bug screen will have some give to accommodate the longer sleeping mat.  I’m good to go.  Happy travels!

    Hey, great idea!  I am working on a hanging table for under the left of entrance door shelving.  My husband and I want it to reflect the space cut for the shelf opening.  Those are the measurements for 1st edition cut plywood!  Will look at where the spot light fits, one more time. 4 holes, one in each corner of plywood.  thread a rope into rear hole, then under table, through front hole and bring together to form a triangle.  It will look like a playground swing.  The hooks are under shelf hooks, only need
    four, two per side.  Then, it can also be adjusted vertically.  Working on that!  Full length of table will be useful for all kinds of goodness.  I will put up a mirror and use my camping spa treatment facials and get cozier! Then can be stored, while trailer is still, with space for a book or iPad, flat things.  This is simple, but research is on rope and hook for the details.  Good luck coming up with how to drop a small person sleeping space from the interior roof!  My husband is asking for fabric blackout blinds that raise and lower on both ends for stargazer window!  Lol!  So far, my drapery skills look to be improving. No solution yet.
