Anyone know what this is?

Was measuring to make a cover for the belly vent (to prevent the sucking up of dust for delivery into the cabin) and came across this item. Found it to be quite warm to the touch. Appears to a heat dissipation device of some sort? Trailer is parked in the yard, not drawing current from the battery. Must be for the solar system?

That looks to be the propane solenoid.
The safety decice to cut the propane gas.
I believe it cuts tbe gas when thr galley rear door is closed.
I do not have one on my 2018, which I am glad since it is a 12-volt power draw.
I shut off my propane at the tank when not being used.

Interesting James! I too, turn the gas off at the tank. So it is a constant current draw? That's bad, as this was pretty darn warm! Got to be very inefficient - tossing off all that heat! It's dark and cool out now, I just crawled under to see how warm it was...so warm you cannot keep your hand on it more than 3 or 4 seconds. I would love to do away with this.

That's the propane solenoid. If it feels hot, the heat sink is doing it's job. keeping the solenoid's innards from cooking.
