I contacted Nucamp about replacing my Yeti with the Norcold NRF 30. Nucamp emailed me the part numbers for 4" Tan snap cover and horse shoe vent along with measurements on where to drill the hole. Anyone have a recommendation on a good dealer to order parts from? I've had enough issues with my dealer.

I was very please with Midwest Teardrop. They were easy to work with and did a great job with the follow up. I live in Minnesota and not one dealer would call me back or reply to my emails.

List of reliable dealers for parts.

We had a Norcold front door fridge installed by our dealer (Kelder trailer sales) to replace the Yetti in our 2021 T@G XL and we are very happy with it. Kelder trailer sales looked after everything.
You should be able to find the parts online, without having to use a NuCamp dealer. These are standard for teardrop construction. I like the Norcold and think NuCamp made a big mistake to stop including it. There are other 12 volt options available however that might be less expensive

I too want to replace the Yeti on my 2020 Boondock lite with a NRF 30. Where did you find the NRF 30? So it does require drilling a hole in the side for a vent?
The vent hole is out the bottom
We are thinking about ordering the Norcold NRF 30 for our 2021 TAG, and building a slide out tray for it where the YETI is now. The Norcold NRF 30 dimensions say the depth is 15.7", but it looks like it is narrower at the bottom. We need a depth measurement of 14 3/4". Would it be possible for someone who has this fridge to measure the depth at the very bottom for us? Thanks in advance!

I am sorry if I wasn't clear. We know those measurements. However, it looks like the unit tapers so that it is narrower at the base, so we thought it might fit into our 14 3/4" sliding tray. We are just interested in the depth across the base, not full depth.

Ok
Bottom of Norcold NRF30
21 7/8 x 15 5/8
2018 T@G slideout interior
21 7/8 x 15 7/8
So my slideout debth is about 1/2 inch more than the Norcold
Thank you, JamesDow. Looks like the Norcold will not work for us. Our next option is the ICECOE GO20, unless we can figure out how to create more space. It is challenging with the 2021!

We are in the same dilemma as you. Some folks have done a major remodel that included the removal of the microwave to create more space. We will probably do what some folks have done and place a Norcold or similar device in the tow vehicle.

@engineer101 -- care to share the details from NuCamp? Out 2020 has the Yeti and I'd like to switch out to a Norcold or similar.
@engineer101 We also would like the specs that have come from nuCamp.

Sorry I've been offline for a while. Here is what NUCAMP sent me.

Measure 10 1/4 " from galley back wall and 7 1/4" from Drawer build up on left side. Mark and drill hole.
Customer service said drill a 4" hole but I'm not sure if that's correct.
Been researching icego go20 solution as well. If anyone can figure out how to 12v connect without wires hanging out everywhere and slide plans....please post with pix. Thanks.
I see that an adapter is available for the Norcold NRF30 unit to convert 120V AC to 24VDC. My understanding is that the Norcold runs on 12V or 24V. correct me if I'm wrong. This sounds like a good way to reduce load on the battery capacity but seems like it might conflict with the Air Conditioner and other appliances. I assume it will work with a geni as well as shore power. OR...am I totally getting this backwards?
Has anyone used this before? (Sorry, I haven't figured out how to link to other webpages on this forum yet. The adapter is in the Norcold store in Amazon, Part No. 634650.)
On a similar note, is the sliding tray required or just a convenience? Can the Norcold be installed with a long enough power cord to just pull it out and set it on the ground?
Thanks for your help!
Not sure why you would ever need that 120v to 12v adapter, unless you were planning to use the Norcold away from your T@G. The T@G already has a built in 120v to 12v converter.
The sliding tray is not required, but sure makes life a lot easier. The other option is as you suggested, lifting it in and out of your trailer. (What a pain in the back for no real benefits).
I bought the adapter because I pulled the Norcold out of the T@G and put it in my TV. I was staying in a teepee and wanted cold drinks. But you dont need that adapter if the cooler is in your trailer.

@DancingBear - not sure what your plans are here. If you installed the Norcold, you can hardwire it into the 12V system and it will run off 12V when boondocking on battery, when using a geni or when plugged into shorepower. When on shorepower, you can run anything up to 30 amps. If you use the right sized geni, you can run your air conditioner and Norcold and charge your battery.
