Generator question. Just purchased 2021 T@G XL Boondock

Having just purchased our first T@G trailer and wanting to make sure we had everything needed for boondocking. Does anyone know the size or type of generator that would be able to power our trailers microwave (not used a lot), air conditioner, and other electrical devices. Our trailer comes with solar panels to help keep the batteries (we have 2 6V batteries) charged. Any advice or help would be appreciated.

We have had great success with our Yamaha ef2000. I just wouldn't have the microwave and A/C on at the same time. You may need greater capacity if you wanted to use an electric coffee maker.

Dave, have you converted your Yamaha to use propane?

We have a champion 2000 watt from tractor supply. It runs the AC fine we do not have a microwave but I am sure it would power that. The only downside is that the generator is a bit load. The Hondas are less noisy. Most gas powered units around 2000 watts should be sufficient. Some of the bigger solar generators would probably work too but I think they are more expensive.
