YA, Im pretty sure I will be knocking the snow off of it just to be safe. The poles used are fairly heavy duty and there were good reviews, so I'm not too worried about that.

Something I did was to make a snow removal tool similar to this one. These are slick and the snow slides right off the roof with minimal effort. It wouldn't work for your setup there but is great for a solid roof.
