Recently took two quick back-to-back trips with the Tag.
We first went to Hard labor Creek State Park near Madison, Ga. The campsites were pretty interesting. The pads are elevated above the picnic area and fire pit. If you're not good with stairs, you can select certain other sites in the campground, which are near the main entrance, that are one level. Most of the sites, however, are elevated like this one.

We had the place all to ourselves once people cleared out Sunday. We stayed a couple days after and had an entire loop all to ourselves. The campground is clean and the facilities were as well. Friendly staff. There are a lot of hiking trails and mountain biking trails nearby. We drove about 5 minutes and came to a nice MTB trail system that runs double duty as a hiking trail. It was a nice 7.5 mile loop.

The next weekend we went to our old stomping grounds, Santos Campground in Ocala, Fl. This place is just awesome. Miles and miles of MTB trails, hiking trails, and paved trails to enjoy. We love coming here because the campground is smaller and the crowd is awesome. Just people hanging out sharing a common interest. The Florida Trail cuts through the campground, and is a great spot to terminate a multi-day hike, or a good basecamp to start from.
