Long Overdue

We've been thinking about getting a teardrop for over 2 years, but weren't sure because I've never owned a camper, and two kids (5 and 2yo) make them less than ideal. We almost got something bigger last year when the pandemic hit, but then kept coming back to teardrops. We had planned to rent a T@G for our first camping trip of the year to see if it would really work, but we jumped the gun and picked one up a couple weeks ago. Zero regrets - we LOVE this thing.

Brought it to a campground 15 minutes from the dealer and felt like I had to immediately open everything.

And this forum has been awesome. I've been lurking for a few weeks and have gotten a ton of ideas and inspiration from people's mods and upgrades. Hope to share some of our own as we customize ours.

Surprisingly more comfortable than I was expecting. My wife is 5' and literally half my size, so we're able to tetris ourselves in with one kid at her feet and the other next to us. Huge upgrade from tent camping - everyone sleeps better and longer. We figure by the time sleeping quarters get too cramped, the kids will be ready to move to the tent.

We also Tetris, but with the dogs. We have a 5 wide and 2 dogs that T@Gs allong with us on most trips. A 92 lbs Alaskan malamuthe and a 45 lbs English setter. The Malamuthe prety much always ends up in a corner at our feet, and when the setter was still a pup would be near my gf head. But now, that little thing got bigger and would lay along me and my gf with the malamuthe trying to find her place.

Was not easy until we settle for me on one side, my gf in the middle and the muthe in the foot corner and the setter on the same side, near the other door.

We just love the T@G and the dogs! 😁
