I have watched people complain that they keep hitting their head on the corner of the front cabinet and ask NuCamp to do something about it. Never noticed mine before, but the edge is curved on the 2017 models. How is this saving NuCamp money? Designers need to look back sometimes. Anyone know why they changed this? Here is a pic of my front upper cabinets showing the corner is rounded. I’ve never hit my head on it anyway. A sharp corner would hurt.

Do you still have the oem matress, or did you upgarde with tge froli system and a foam layer?
We did not do any upgrade to our oem matress and have never knocked our head either on the shelf.
I do think that it happen with the thicker matress or raised matress.
When we first got our 2021, I can't even begin to say how many times I hit my head on these cabinets, and YES it hurts! I have solved my issue however with the creative application of dark brown rubber corner guards for babies. Much improved!
At 6'2" tall, I bump into them when loading things into the camper and accessing the under floor storage area.

I've just accepted the fact I am going to smack my head every time I'm inside. It still hurts, I just dont curse as much.

My SO complained about the same issue this weekend, so this thread is timely. I also ordered some brown rubber corner guards.
Man, gotta luv an SE/XL
I would miss tge stargazer window to much. 😉
D9 you have a regular T@G or an outback/boondock style model? I 'm not 6,2, but with our outback, I am far from hiting my head on those boxe.
I’m just glad there are choices, the ONLY reason I bought it is because it didn’t have a galley and all of the extra holes in the cabin.
I think if they made a few more SE’s it would be cool.
Well, we all have our preferences! 😎
Choices indeed
I believe I would be happy with the more basic T@G. That AC location, no TV or sound system would make me very happy. However the lady of this operation does like her Frig and Micro wave. Hay happy wife, happy camper. 20 + years ago I restored a 40 vintage teardrop. New skin, frame, and oak interior. Little marine sink with a water jug and a drain jug. Slide out for old type cooler etc. Eventually sold for big bucks in those days.

I have a tv/dvd player that sits on the back shelf like a laptop. Right next to the morning Keurig coffee maker. We are ice chest folk though but never need anything cold after we go to bed.
Not only do the sharp corners hurt, I actually cut my scalp on that sharp corner while arranging things inside my Boondock XL. Why DID NuCamp change that?
What "brown rubber corner guards" are people using? I'd like to get some too.
My wife wonders why I go to the woods and then work hard to create all the comforts of home.

I picked up some brown corner guards, at Walmart, last week. I was using a piece of a pool noodle, that I cut to fit the entire bottom of the shelf. The corner guards just look better. I think I paid about $7.50, for a 4 pack.
I just returned from a two night camping trip. The corner guards do the trick, just fine.
I'm curious what you use the handles on the bottom of the cabinets for?
Imho I can’t for the life of me accept it’s ok to hit your head once in a while.
no thanks, I took them out, easy to do, didn’t hold much anyway, no brainer.
so much more room to move freely.
We've camped more than 150 nights in our T@G. We have a 3-inch Tempur-Pedic mattress topper over the stock mattress. I'm 5'10" and the missus is 5'5". Neither of us has bumped our head yet. I think you're making it up.
