Parasitic draw - rear hatch being open
I saw this posted on Facebook the other day and did some of my own testing. I thought the results were worth sharing.
When the rear hatch is open there will be an additional draw on your battery to the tune of 17W/1.3A continuously. This is a result of the propane safety solenoid switch on the hatch strut, if your unit is so equipped.
I've been doing a lot of work on my unit and leaving the hatch open while in my garage, I was unaware that my higher draw was coming from this switch.

Funny thing is, I hadn't seen them until I ran across a random comment in a Facebook post about it and so I did the tests. It further more says you can place a card over it to turn it off (I dont use the gas range), so I need to try that.
