coupler height?

I will be picking up a 2018 T@g in a few week. i am installing a hitch to my car.
I need to know the height of the T@g coupler so i can purchase the proper rise for my car. can anyone help with this info ? i am surprise it is not in the manual.

I aimed for 16 inches to the top of the ball; our trailer is a T@g, I believe the Outback is higher. You should also take into consideration how much your hitch might drop when you add the trailer's tongue weight.

17" is the ideal height and as noted the weight of your trailer and suspension may change things up. Here is a helpful site that give you the information you'll need in determine the drop and hitch you will need.
