I'm looking for photos of how to remove one side of the bed platform/underbed storage to create a single bed situation with room to sit on the other side. I know lots of people have done this - but I can't find any photos. I will be removing half of the bed for a solo camping trip in March - but will need to put it back in for next trip with husband. My camper is currently in storage so I can't poke around and try to figure out how to make this happen. Big question how to remove the wood that creates the platform/storage area.

Not sure if this will help, but you may be able to contact the seller & see wazz up...https://teardrop-trailers.vanillacommunity.com/discussion/1516/2018-t-g-xl-one-of-a-kind-10800-burnsville-nc#latest
Looks like a T@G SE Basic which doesn't come with underbed storage. I just need to take the winter cover off and poke around. I'm just surprised I haven't gotten more response to this request for photos because there are a lot of people with the single bed setup. Someone on FB said it's not hard to do. I just need to give it a go.

The under bed storage is just wood 1 by 4s screwed down to the floor.. Should only take a few minutes with a power screwdriver. Putting it back in will be more of a chore. My advice? Just stack the mattresses or remove one and put it back for the next trip.

ras ... thanks so much. That's exactly what I wanted to know. I will remove one of the mattresses. I have a 2015 T@G and it's a huge hassle to re-attach the plywood platform - the connection is a piece of rubber. So, really good idea to leave that in place. The only question is whether there will be enough headroom to sit in a chair with the 1 by 4s in place. If not, I will just give up on this idea. I need to do some work while camping next month and am trying to find a good place without sun glare to sit with my laptop. I bought a camp chair last night that has super good support and doesn't promote slouching as most do - so I'm making progress.
ras ... my tow vehicle is a 2011 4Runner. Just love that vehicle.
Laura,
Ras said it best - just remove one of the mattresses, which is what I did for my Boondock XL. The mattress is currently stored upright behind a door in my guest bedroom. I bought a piece of low pile carpet remnant and moisture barrier padding to cover the entire floor. I added a memory foam layer to beef up the bed, covered it with a pillow top mattress pad and it's super comfortable. I often sit on either the bed or floor; if you need back support, you could get a Crazy Creek camp chair or similar. I also added a plastic two drawer unit for clothing storage, tucked under the existing cabinets.

I have just done this for solo trips without hubby as well. I bought these rugs which are amazing; they don't slide around at all. https://amazon.com/gp/product/B089VTCTDZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?

I also ordered a bean bag chair to sit in that space. I haven't tried out this new configuration yet; camping trip this weekend with Sisters on the Fly. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GRXKDH3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
The bean bag chair is a good idea! We have used Yoga mats as floor covering. Thick one originally which helped with sleeping, but now we have a Froli and have thin yoga mats under the Froli to hepl protect the wood a bit.
