I have a 2018 Tag XL with the Yakima rack. I want to mount one or two 90 watt Zamp solar panels on the fiberglass rack. How? I want to run the wires to my battle born lithium 100 amp hr batteries. Your experience. Obsidian or legacy panels?

I have the Zamp 180W Suitcase. I chose that so I could move it around with the sun as most of the time I camp it is in the shade.
I second that. It might be convenient to have the solar panels mounted on the trailer, and I've heard the newer ones are designed to work better with the sun at an angle, but having the ability to move the panel around makes a big difference. In the Pacific Northwest we have a lot of trees, so finding the suns rays can be a challenge and requires moving the solar panel around (with a long cord). After a couple trips into the desert I've also discovered that if I keep the panel directly pointed at the sun I can get much higher charge rates.
I guess it comes down to convenience vs effectiveness.

I like my camper in the shade and my solar in the sun.

Forgot to mention I ended up making my own solar suitcase with two 100W moncrystalline solar panels. The 100W (albeit Harbor Freight) setup was a good test but just couldn't keep up with my needs. https://teardrop-trailers.vanillacommunity.com/discussion/1082/my-homemade-solar-suitcase#latest

Would like to charge the batteries on the highway to the campground. Lots of wasted energy
