Took our T@G XL out for the first time and discovered that the overhead shelf is in just the right spot to cause near head trauma. Most have hit my head on that little shelf three times in a four night trip. My wife did too. Other than some kind of bumper has anybody removed or modified these to fix the problem?

The NFL also has those cool practice "over helmet" things...........maybe an option?

Probably not get that one by my wife. Sounds like a simple solution to me. My guess is one way or another that shelf is coming out. I figured I couldn't be the only one with this issue. Man that little corner puts a hurt on when you hit it just right. Only thing we didn't like about the T@G.
Give it a few more trips. I and my wife very seldom make contact with it in my 2018 5-wide. I use it every trip to stuff small quick stuff. I span a bungie cord between and hang things like a USB fan. Others have attached expandable netting to the bottom for more storage, as well as netting on the front to minimize things falling out during travel.
People do use child protective bumpers.
It's a negative reinforcement behavior-mod kind of thing. Be trained or change the environment. - You're call.
There is a learning curve.....I honestly think that I've only hit it once since installing the bumper pads!

I see that nobody has answered his question on how to remove it... I've hit my head on it for the last time... I also need removal instructions.
Thanks
I started removing screws, I believe some screw heads may be hidden.
I will talk to Nucamp tomorrow.
My sweetie hit her head this weekend.
They got to go.
Had success, 10 minute job posted in another discussion.
