Electric Brake Wiring - 2021 T@G Boondocks

Our new to us trailer received new brakes from Camping World when they reconditioned it. I noticed that the wiring hangs low and one side has heat shrink crimps (not heat shrunk) and the other side has wire nuts. I'm planning to replace the wire nuts with heat shrink crimps.
Could someone provide pictures on how these wires should be routed? Also any recommendations on loom to protect them from rubbing?

I did not take after pictures but I went out over the weekend to adjust. On the driver side, I heat shrunk the connection on the wire, wrapped with electric tape and added a 12 inch section of loom. I used a zip tie to loosely hold the loom to the "control arm". I left it loose to allow the loom to slide as the arm moves.
On the passenger side, those were not wire nuts. They were tapered crimps. They were not self sealing, so I cut them off and added heat shrink connections and completed the same as the driver side.
