Stove top ignition

Greetings.
Was just wondering on the stove top if it is indeed electrical ignition? We were unable to light it any other way except with a match. Am I missing something or is it only a match light stove?

There is no ignition source on the stove. A match or a butane lighter will be necessary each time you light the stove.
