Will hopefully be taking a cross country this year and need to find a CG near Los Angeles. I saw the 2 glamping places but not sure they would accept a TD with a side tent. Any other suggestions? We'll be staying 4-5 days there so we would like to have at least electric.

near LA? thats a lot of ground. The best CG "in" LA hands down is Dockweiler State Beach which has ocean front spots with plug in just north of Manhattan and Hermosa Beach. In Malibu North its Leo Carrillo State Park. Malibu inland its Malibu Creek SP. The best coastal camping in LA is south along the coast from Newport Beach to San Diego. Crystal Cove, San Onofre, and South Carlsbad SB. East of LA is Joshua Tree and in the mountains Stone Creek near Idlewild. There is also an RV park in Malibu, Malibu Beach RV Park. Not real atmospheric but insane location near Paradise Cove and Carbon Beach.
Ya, its a wide area for sure. We will be visiting our daughter who will be interning at Disney in Burbank. I was looking in the Joshua Tree area, but Im thinking my wife may like the beach areas better.

Dockweiler is the hands down best LA experience, right on the beach
J Tree hours away and very hard to book, but otherworldly
Looks like the beach CG's are out, as they all seem to practice dog breed discrimination and wont allow our German Shepherd. Plus they do not allow tents on RV sites. :(

www.campendium.com is helpful to find camping sites. They also have a smartphone app.
