I have a quick question...What is the purpose of the AC fan. I have never really payed it much attention. There is a small switch to turn it on at the foot of the left side of the bed, kinda below the audio/dvd player. My fiancé and I in the past have stayed in places that have had available shore power. We have been staying more and more in places in which we are relying more on just our battery. On several occasions she has accidently kicked on the AC fan switch in her sleep and it runs all night draining the battery unnecessarily. On shore power I never thought about it and just switched it on or off or whatever. When on its an audible fan and I think it vents outside of the left side of the camper, but what is its purpose? Is it supposed to provide airflow into the camper, separately than the fan on the roof? IS it supposed to be used with the air conditioner, the name suggests as such but the air conditioner seems to work if that fan is turned on or not?

It exhausts the hot air from the back of the AC. You need to turn it on every time you use the AC.

that is good to know. why does the fan function independently of the ac. shouldn't it just turn on when you turn on the ac?
Fan sucks via silver side vent bells on trailer to keep the AC cooler, pushing air out the bottom of the trailer and the two white plastic vents mounted near the sides on the AC.
@shadow92182 there's a whole other thread in here somewhere on this fan.
In particular mods to make it work better, others have noted that the AC can seem weak in warmer climates, being in Canada I don't suffer from that, and would have taken a heater over the AC.

@shadow92182,
Here is the thread that discusses the A/C. https://teardrop-trailers.vanillacommunity.com/discussion/680/a-c-settings-for-t-g/p1
Air enters via the exterior side vents AND via the vents inside next to the A/C.
