Headboard / shelf

When we purchased our used (Very Little) 2017 T@G XL the previous owner had the dealer remove the headboard package. The parts were all there. I found it a hassle to reassemble. We now have a body pillow/bolster at the front. I was thinking about installing the former lid/shelf above as shelf alone. I would modify a bit with a lip to keep whatever from rolling off.
Question is, Any ideas how one should attach or just forget?

If you can locate where the original support for the shelf was screwed to the front wall, I imagine you could mount some shelf brackets. You might have to modify them a bit because of the radius of the wall but it could be done. I would measure where the mounting points are on our 2017 but we have a 5 wide.
