In the process of purchasing a 2020 T@G XL Boondock Lite and would like to get the 4 steps that come with the Edge. Is it simply bolt on and where would one buy them?
@csonni -send an email to customerservice@nucamprv.com and ask if the steps are compatible with your TaG. If so, ask for the part numbers so your dealer can place the order.

They actually got back to me today. The steps will have to be purchased through a NuCamp dealer. But they didn't answer my other question about fitment. I had to reply back to get that answered.
So, I found out the place that sold us the T@G is indeed a NuCamp distributor. They’re checking into prices. NuCamp hasn’t yet responded as far as figment goes.
They're still waiting to hear back from NuCamp. This is the first time anyone has requested this. I was a bit mistaken....the 2021 was updated with aluminum nerf bar steps (4). The 2020 just has the black door steps which aren't anything fancy. I wouldn't think the 2020's are equipped to bolt on the 2021 steps.
Just heard back from the dealer. $358.93 + installation + tax for the front hoop steps if we order them from NuCamp and install them here. The rears are $278 + installation + tax.
Not sure what the charge for installation is but NuCamp did say they're bolt on so I could do that myself. Still a bit pricey for the parts.
Nucamp responded to my inquiry about adding rear steps to our 2020 TAG with the part numbers. I havent checked the price with a close dealer yet. I suspect something close to what you were given. Crazy markup for an off the shelf part.
Anyone would have underside pics of the jonction between frame and steps? I would be curious to see that, specialy since a while back, their was a hot topic about drilling holes in the T@G frames.
I do not want to bring this topic back but really curious as how the are mounted, welded or bolted.
Yes, you'd think the Lite (which we hav) would have the mount points in place, but maybe not. NuCamp seems to have alluded to the fact that there are points to simply bolt on the steps.

Starting to think my frame fender/step setup wasn’t such a bad deal after all

Speaking of fenders, are the T@G fenders durable enough to step on to reach up on the roof rack? The Bean trailers make their fenders for that exact purpose. Maybe not the T@G? My wife says she remembers seeing a warning sign not to step on the fenders. If not, I wonder if one can reinforce them from underneath.
Sue enough, just saw this in one of our pictures...(we have not yet seen our T@G).

Very nice. And yes, should be standard equipment.
To answer your question, nope, ther are not strong enought and they are glued and screwed to the azdel panel with wood screws. In order to be strong enough, they woukd have to be framed from the frame of the trailer and I would aslo detached them from the wall.

All purchased now. Nobody ever add those steps to the Boondock Lite?
Where did you purchase them from? I've looked several places.
My question is where to purchase and install procedure.

Actually, your dealer can arrange to have this post-production mod done at nuCamp prior to receiving the unit. Your dealer can arrange for that.

Thanks. Just emailed them.
They don’t seem to respond very quickly. Still haven’t heard back.
Email them again and remind them that you have not heard back. Did you at least get an automatic email reply?

No, I didn't.
Emailed them again. I did just now get a notice that they received. Maybe I did also get one last time.
Ok. Hopefully you’ll hear back.

Do they fit?

Big markup from the dealer I suspect. Maybe a local fabricator can make a set. Or did you consider a pull out step. They sell for well under $100.

I might check into that alternative.
Don't know the layout of your trailer's frame, but something like this might work...and for a ton less money.

I am likely going to do something similar to JohnnyLoco in the near future and will be removing the bolt on steps.........

Like every other off the shelf purchase in my life, it becomes a project.
