Any recommendations out there for good camping toilets? We're looking at possibly having to move into our T@G fulltime for a few months and given the current environment we need a toilet to be off grid and socially contactless.
I'm currently looking at the new Joolca Hottap V2 for a heated shower source. It's pricey, but the ease of use seems to demolish all its competition.
As always, your input is greatly valued and appreciated.

I just purchased the shower from camplux for half the price, same concept as Hottap.
Two excellent products I’ve been using below.

I guess it depends on how elaborate or primitive you wish to go. In an effort to simplify things I used a 5 gallon bucket, heated water from my propane stove and attained a suitable temperature to take a nice warm shower. I purchased a small, USB rechargeable, battery operated shower head pump (3 GPM rate) and used it in a portable/pop-up Trekker privy tent. I was able to find a small teak platform that kept you off the ground and was able to shower easily. The Trekker tent also served as a toilet area and I used a Thetford porti-potti I bought at Walmart. You can probably find some of my write-ups on this on the Little Guy forum if you use their search function.
Good luck to you and keep us posted on your setup and how things go! 👍🏻

We're went with the Hottap from Joolca and plan to use it as soon as it arrives. Their 30-day free return policy sold us on giving it a shot since most of our camping lessons turn out to cost money (and lead to a killer yard sale).
This may sound too low tech; but, we love our Lightspeed Bath tent for taking simple bucket baths. We warm up the water, put it in the bucket inside the tent and get cleaned up. Nothing can go wrong! The direct website price was better than Amazon: https://www.lightspeedoutdoors.com/3-in-1-privacy-tent-gray-changing-room-outdoor-shower-camp-outhouse.html

We love it! Definitely a game changer in our southeastern summer camping trips. It was definitely worth the wait and it beats any product similar.
Can anyone using the Joolca share how they are mounting it, and storing for transport? We have a T@g XL, and are thinking about adding a shower of some sort.
We use the feet and set it on the ground. I found a plastic box at Walmart that it fits into perfectly. I wrap it with a towel to prevent all the components from banging against the unit.
Thanks for everyone's input. I found these blogs helpful
My wife really likes this one, with the accompanying bag.

She uses it as a convenience during the night, in our side tent, instead of walking to the bathroom in the dark. Can't really confirm how it would work as a "full service" toilet.

Thetford Porta-Pottis, Joolac HotTap v2, pop-up privacy tent. All work perfectly, and allow for complete off-grid living. I also added a 5x7 Pahaque side tent, a 3m x 2m awning that can go on either side (like the Pahaque), and a Hasika awning for the galley. Great protection from the elements, and super easy to set up!

Good stuff
I have a Camco and we used it for a year while traveling. It held up excellent. Worked great, was easy to dump, and never caught a bad whiff from it. I couldn’t justify spending the money on the Thetford. Camco is a fraction of the cost, and…well, it’s a toilet.
If a couple of months, I would recommend staying at/near BLM land whicl has some sort of facilites
I am currently at Senator Wash CA (North Shore) which on one side (south) has running portable water and flush toilet
If you would be staying on the BLM land you may have to walk or drive 100 yards. Not 100% what is wanted (permitted), but still doable. Lots of toilet solutions.
Good luck!
The Ironman 4X4 Bush Toilet. It folds flat, comes with a carrying case, weighs 11 lbs and supports up to 400 lbs. You can put it over a bucket, line it with a bag or just place it over a hole you dug.
