Re: Generator
Added Exterior Storage
I wanted to get some storage that was easily accessible to store the things needed immediately when arriving at camp and the last things to store when breaking camp. Examples: Surge protector, electric cord, wheel chocks, stabilizer wrench, water hose, level, grey water hose.
So I bought these ATV toolboxes and mounted them to the platform on the front of my T@G. I used framing strip backed with rubber to dampen vibration and spread the stress across the area, 3/8" galvanized washers and hex bolts. Used a split lock washer on the bottom. Ran the bolts through the holes on the camper platform, so no drilling on the camper. The framing straps inside and on the bottom helped spread the pressure across the floor of the toolbox for strength.

Re: My mods
Mods for the Fathers Day weekend.
Installed an inline power switch to the TV to get rid of that annoying blue LED at night.
Installed sheet metal edging around the hole in the back of the tub. Must have caught my watch 20 times while fooling around with solar and the battery.

- Cut out the propane tank holder, pulled the undersized battery out and installed two 6 volt batteries ala Lightningdon. Hardest part was removing the tank holder. Nucamp really welded it in well. Used self tapping pan head screws to mount the battery boxes.

Added a switch between the solar controller and the battery. Ended up buying a wire harness with two 30amp breakers. You can see the switch on the sidewalk of the tub.
Completed the job with a bottle of a malty red ale we brew. It was a hot day and I may need another.
Re: Cabinet and galley mods
This is my solution to more counter space when the stove is not being used. The slots keep the wood spacer firmly in place and it lifts the cutting board above the knobs. Sometimes it is just a little cutting board

Have Fun!

Re: Post up some shots of your set-up at Camp!
Made it to Yellowstone Lake State Park (WI) last week for our first bigger campout (4 night). My two Boy Scouts slept in the tent, except a stormy night in the back of my Subaru. All in all fantastic site with trees between the campsites. Brought along our Air Chair for this trip and it was a really nice place to sit.

Re: Organizational Tips & Tricks?
Shoes wise..... I leave my Keens outside the door (they dry quickly and are ready for a quick bathroom jaunt). Boots I push a bit under the unit. Tennis shoes go in a plastic shoe bin with a lid that I keep on the fender of my Boondock XL (flat top fender).

Just not as resistant to scratch, but you should not need steel wool to clean this up.You obviously have not seen me cook
I have to agree with this one!
Re: Cabinet and galley mods
For the bacl spalsh, you can also find polish alluminium sheet in hardware stores, deco and trim departement. It is light, and way easier to work with than stainless steel to work with. Just not as resistant to scratch, but you should not need steel wool to clean this up.
Re: Organizational Tips & Tricks?
I agree with the hinge mod. I did it using the same parts that the discussion has on here and it works awesome!!!
Re: Organizational Tips & Tricks?
I only carry spare tent stakes, a few American flags, and extra 2 burner stove, and my large cast iron skillet under the bed. Too hard to get to. I plan to do the hings mod and gas strut lifters, but that hasn't hit high enough on my home priority list to get me into it.
