Putting a TV in a 2021 T@G

We decided to install a TV in our new T@G. Here’s what you need to know.

1. In the upper bin/ cupboard is a TV ready sticker. Behind that are RCA cables (audio) and a cable TV connection.
2. if you remove the rear panel in the cupboard, you’ll find wiring. The black and white wires are your 12v power supply. Black is + (hot) and white is ground.
3. If you mount the TV to the cupboard door (which I did), I was advised by nuCamp to move the hinges from the top to the side and use a VESA mount.
4. The attached picture shows you the final result.

Final comment on installing the Iceco. Putting it on a sliding shelf does work, well. Nevertheless, things are very tight. You can not put on both handles; putting on the rear handle pushes it forward just enough to interfere with the hatch closing. In addition, I had to move my 12V outlet to the right. When it was centered, the plug came down just enough to prevent the Iceco from being pushed back all the way and, again, interfered with the hatch closing. Now, with one handle and the outlet on the right, everything works. I am getting some small USB fans to help with air circulation. At this time, I am not cutting a vent in the floor.

Thanks, Jack. Are you just hooking this up to 12 volt only? We have reached all the same conclusions, but would like to also use the 110 plug. We cannot figure out how to make the 110 plug fit, when orienting the unit as you have, without the fridge extending out and interfering with the hatch closing. We can plug into both when the fridge is oriented the other way.

@PatsyC we are only using 12v while in the camper. Don’t think 110 will cool it better and, with solar or pass through from our car, the battery shouldn’t be s as n issue.

What size TV did you install? We just got a 2021 too and looking to get one. Everyone seems to use Jensen and I see other brands. Is this bc it's the best option out there?

We looked at lots of TVs but got a 19" Jensen because it seemed best. We got a good deal on it from the "12 Volt Store". I have tried it and the picture quality is good. I have sound going through the AV system. I have also sent video from my iPad to the TV using both the VHA and HDMI ports. Let me know if you need any other information.

How are you connecting the T.V power cord to the black/white cords behind the panel?

Jack... how did you tie your TV audio into the AV system.... are there open jacks on the back of the AV controller or did you splice in?
