Of course, we were getting ready to move it to it's own parking spot as there weren't any pull through spots. When my boss asked about that, I told him I thought 3 wheels would roll better than two.

Here was our first time out, camping at Santos MTB park in Ocala, Florida. Although the weather was warm and humid, the AC made our nights fantastic, and we noted not one issue with the T@g. A few items we learned we should get before we go on our next outing, but that is what is was all about.
Monocle Lake SF campground near Brimley, Mi in the UP last week. Very large, roomy, quiet, treed campsites with privacy and easy walking distance to Monocle Lake. Fishing, kayaking, swimming, vault toilets, no showers, but water is available on site. Beautiful area and close to Bay Mills Casino if you’re feeling lucky!
Fishing? Did someone say fishing? Just a minute...I'll get my hat....

Rich,
I puzzled over the streak of bird poop on the trailer (poor bird!) until I realized it's actually just a reflection of the awning leg. And are those steelies on the Jeep? Gotta get some of those...
Nice bikes! I crave the Maxxis tires.
And I wouldn't mind a closeup of those trailer entry loops. Details?
Great looking rig!
The reflection is another reason why I don't wash mine. It's hard to project a reflection through a month or two of trail slime...

Lightningdon,
That is a Coleman 2 in 1. It seems to shed water well in rain - even heavy rain. of course, without sides a "windy rain" is going to get you. What I like about this shelter is that it came with a two man tent (for us it is our changing room - tent when the grandkids are with us). The tent portion only uses up half of the awning space. So as you step out of the tent, you have an equal space still under the awning. It is very well built as well with the tarp type of material on the floor seamlessly coming up about 12 inches of the walls. Coleman also put this through their wind test and cranked it up to 60 mph and it stood there.
The one drawback is that the poles are made out of metal. They are shock-corded, and well-built, but that makes them a little heavy. Insetting it up, we assembly all the poles, except for the leg that sits on the ground. That leaves the whole canopy low enough that we can easily spread the covering over the top. Many times we set it up over one of the doors of the T@G, but as you can see it goes over the back hatch as well.
Well here are some camping spots from August 2018 5100 mile trip to the west from KY. Hope you can enjoy. Camped in AL, AR, OK, TX, NM, and AZ (3 locations).

LOL! Those are Procomp alloys, 7069's. I was thinking of going with steelies, since i like the style of them, but decided to go alloy and keep in the steel "look".
Trust me, we are going insane and broke trying to get this set up...lol. But having a blast doing it. Been following your mods and I am envious of all you have done. Thanks for the props. Oh, and are you referring to the side steps or the grab handles on the trailer? The '19 Boondocks are coming with both now...I'll take some pics tomorrow...

Love it. Rode the Specialized 26er for almost 10 years...now it's the wife's. Going to the 29er was a nice switch, and it rolls over everything. Pretty snappy for a large hooped bike too.
Great pics! Keep them coming! Gotta love that sun in late fall as the earth tilts us into the freeze zone as winter months approach.... Come ooooon Arizona!!!! LOL
My youngest and I spent a cold, soggy weekend up at Camp Phillips for his Cub Scout Pack. There were lots of others there (300 Scouts!) and lots of parents. 2 overnights and the kids were soaked and cold and plenty ready to go home. All had great fun though. Will and I were warm and dry in the "tent":
Off and ready to go. It was our first trip with the spare relocate and a number of other "new" updates. I was interested to see how it would go.
Our campsite was around the lake from the main scout activity center. Actually, Camp Phillips has 9 lakes and is about 1,400 acres, with a Stockade and nature center, store, cook shanty (for feeding 300 scouts at a time!) and tons of other activities. By the end of the weekend, the main activity area looked like a Rugby Field. The road in to our campsite was twisty mud and crossed a swamp between two lakes. It was fun going in, but the road became nearly impassable on the way out after a couple of inches of rain. I'm not sure how everyone got out but it's safe to say there was some creative use of recovery gear for the few cars and couple of mini-vans. We were fine and did well, trailer and all, though it looks today like we just came overland from Canada via the Voyageur's route. We were loaded down with our usual supplies as well as a load of chattering Cub Scouts most of the time. Our boys did well and had a great (soggy) time.
This was the 1st day. It was raining too hard for me to be motivated to get photos on the way out. The campground was actually pretty high save for the road getting in. It's quite beautiful there. Will and I are going back for a week next summer if the stars align.
A view across the lake to another camp. There are 15 or so camps (maybe more?) sprinkled around the area. All beautiful. Most are easier to access than ours. The "cabins" are wood-floored huts with tarps for walls and ceilings. There are low wooden bunks for the scouts. We deferred to our Teardrop shaped shelter. I ran on the generator for heat both nights. I started the gennie for about an hour each evening just to get it warm enough to be comfy when crawling in. We were toasty all weekend and glad of the heat. I made coffee for the scout leaders each morning. We all went to the mess hall for breakfast, but it's a long time between 5 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. with all that scout energy and no coffee! We campfired at night and made Iron Kettle Cobbler for late snacks.

I took my first trip two days after taking possession of the trailer from the dealer. I was thankful nuCamp's schedule of Oct 24th worked as I had booked right after getting the date from the dealer a spot over in Brown County State Park, Indiana. It was a rainy drive there and back home, but it cleared up by the time I got there and was great the two full days I spent there. The leaves just had turned according to the person working at the park store and said people were upset they turned as they were leaving, as the campground was full.
I met an older couple that also had a Subaru Outback with a T@G XL Boondock Lite. They have a 2015 4 cylinder and I have a 2010 4 cylinder. They didn't say which year the T@G was, I assume 2018 since they got it in May and said they put in over 4200 miles on it already. I had talked with the gentlemen a little on the first night I got there, then we ran into each other on Monday at the horseback riding trail and talked some more and ended up on the same horseback trail ride.
Brown County State Park was my childhood favorite campground and I thought no better place than to do a shake down cruise with my new camper!
Here are a couple of pics from our trip from Florida to New Mexico. The first is just north of Carlsbad and the second is from Double Lake State Park north of Houston.
Great trip and our camper and tv performed without a problem. Should have taken more pictures but maybe next time.
Ft Robinson State Park, Ne. Arrived on Thursday night and helped my brother set up his wall tent camp. It took me about 3 minutes to set mine up with the first order of business being to get the furnace running. By the time I got into bed at 10 p.m. it was 60 inside and comfortable. I set the thermostat for 62 and slept like a baby. I got up at 6 a.m. to 9 degrees outside temp and made some coffee. This is the coldest I've been camping in the TD and am glad for the shore power! I have my refrigerated stuff in the fridge and anything that might freeze inside with me. I didn't fill the water tank but have my 5 gallon can in here with me. My brother and nephew are hunting tomorrow so I'll sleep in and make hot lunch.
Lots of photos to post but no computer so that will wait til next week when I get back.
More to come...
